The collar will be approximately 3.5 cm wide when finished, and the cotton strap itself is approximately 2.5 cm wide. Read the size guide to see how we measure the collars we make. The choke section is 10 cm long The leash should be attached to the D-ring next to the snap buckle; the leash should NOT be attached to the D-ring that holds the lining (the D-ring that is cut open on one side). The cut-off D-ring cannot withstand any load at all. To make the collar larger, pull the cut-off D-ring off the cotton strap so you can adjust the collar size. Then slide the D-ring back onto the cotton strap. When purchasing an adjustable collar made of solid brass, the cut-off ring will not be made of solid brass, as these cannot be cut. The D-ring will be matched to the collar, either in silver or black plating.
